Vantaa Art Museum Artsi
Vantaa Art Museum Artsi is a contemporary art museum in Myyrmäki, tasked with maintaining, preserving, studying and accumulating the City of Vantaa’s extensive art collection. Besides contemporary art, Artsi specialises in street, graffiti and performance art. Artsi provides a learning environment and discussion arena for various contemporary art and art education phenomena.
The museum also has exhibitions at Gallery K in Tikkurila, run by Artsi together with the Vantaa Artists’ Association.
Artsi is open to all, free of charge.
Artsi’s collection
Vantaa Art Museum Artsi manages the City of Vantaa’s extensive art collection, which consists of several sub-collections. The collection includes the public art collection and collections of works by Lauri Santtu, Pentti Kaskipuro and Risto Vilhunen.
The collection of the Vantaa Art Museum Artsi dates back to 1961. The collection contains more than 12,000 works of art, focusing on Finnish and international contemporary art.
The collection can be explored at Artsi’s temporary exhibitions, on Finna, and in the urban space. Artsi’s collection is an art collection for all Vantaa residents.
